Paddle from Willow Beach to Spring Cove and Hike up Spring Canyon:

This is a full day trip, with only about 6 miles of paddling and about 2 miles of hiking. Spring Canyon is almost never visited by hikers.

To get to Spring Cove, we'll paddle downstream from Willow Beach, Arizona. You can see from looking at the aerial view that we'll be hiking a narrow canyon. The magic of this canyon is a fresh water spring and stream that is not mapped. We'll see flora not seen in the surrounding desert. This is a classic desert canyon hike; with a little bit of bush whacking and some rock scrambling but well worth the visit.

See desert animals and vegetation of Lake Mead; Mojave Desert Flora and Fauna.
