Ian Blair

Former combat medic and passionate outdoorsman. After graduating from high school, I joined the United States Army, where I honed my medical skills and developed a deep appreciation for teamwork and leadership.

Following my time in the military, I pursued a career as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), using my training and experience to help those in need. My dedication to serving others has always been a driving force in my life, both in my professional and personal pursuits.

My love of the outdoors is also a significant part of my life. I am an avid hiker, kayaker, and scuba diver, with a particular passion for exploring the natural beauty of the world around me. My experiences hiking the Appalachian trail helped fuel my love of conservationism, driving my desire to protect and educate on the natural world around us.

My commitment to conservationism is evident in my work with Kayak Lake Mead. I believe in protecting the natural beauty of the Black Canyon Wilderness Area and encourage visitors to appreciate and respect the environment.

I continued to pursue my love of the outdoors and became a PADI certified rescue diver. I have traveled extensively, scuba diving in some of the most beautiful locations around the world, including the Surin Islands in Thailand.

Today, my ownership of Kayak Lake Mead allows me to share my passion for kayaking and the great outdoors with visitors to the Black Canyon Wilderness Area. I am proud to offer tours that not only showcase the natural beauty of the region but also promote responsible environmental practices.

When not out adventuring, I am at home planning my next adventure and spending time with my two cats, Catherine and Felidae.
