Swift Paddle Testimonial

Recently Druce and I (Team Kayak Lake Mead) did a 52 mile paddle.  Now, while it wasn't exactly a race, it wasn't exactly not a race either.  In other words, it was a spirited paddle as in, "we're not letting those guys beat us".

We paddled the 52 miles in 8 h 27 m.  This is an average of 6.153846 miles per hour - which isn't bad. We paddled our Eddyline Whisper XT, a 22' tandem.  We grabbed water with our Epic Mid Wings.

There was another team in a tandem that started with us. They weren't adventure racers. They were just good paddlers.

They were not in our wake the whole time.  But, for 40 miles they stayed within 200 m of us!

Occasionally Druce and I would grab the water a little harder, pull up to 500 m on them, and while one of us continued paddling, the other could eat.  And still, they were within 200 m.  I had to ask, "who are those guys, what drives them to such madness"?

Finally the Wind Gods delivered the promised tail wind.  But only a little wind and only intermittently.  For the last 10 miles, it would breeze up to 7 mph and die again, breeze up and die, over and over...

But this wind did allow the use of our sail and we finally started increasing that 200 m to a few kilometers.

The other team - they were using Swift Paddles and not even all graphite ones either.

They are some good paddles out there, Epic, Quick Blade, and Swift.  Some are a little pricey...

Right now, Kayak Lake Mead can sell you and All Graphite Swift Paddle for $299, total cost, no shipping.
