Use this interactive map to see some of the trips we do out of Temple Bar:
A Kayak Trip on the remote eastern portion of Lake Mead
To get to Mushroom Reef, we paddle the Temple Basin of Lake Mead and cross the mouth of Trail Rapids Bay, a 3 mile open water crossing.
This reef and the surrounding beaches are beautiful and sandy. We can usually follow burro trails up the ridges to the top of the surrounding mesas from which the views are incredible.
In the photo gallery:
Beaching up at Mushroom Reef, Eddyline Kayaks lined up on the beach, a view of Trail Rapids Bay, and a vew from the top of Mushroom Reef.
